萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動(dong)效率優異，在(zai)現代(dai)工(gong)業領域被廣泛采用(yong)。

SWP十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器(qi)采用(yong)剖分式(shi)叉頭布(bu)局，與SWC十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器(qi)使用(yong)的場(chang)合(he)相(xiang)近，主要(yao)運用(yong)在(zai)重載大型裝(zhuang)備(bei)領域，回轉(zhuan)直徑可(ke)達1200mm。

SWC十字(zi)萬(wan)向聯軸器采用(yong)整體式叉(cha)頭(tou)布(bu)局，主(zhu)要用(yong)于(yu)軋鋼(gang)機械(xie)，起重運輸(shu)機械(xie)等其他重型裝備(bei)領域(yu)，回(hui)轉直徑可(ke)到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離(li)可(ke)達(da)30m以(yi)上，是運用(yong)相(xiang)當廣(guang)泛的萬(wan)向聯軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的(de)(de)機泵(beng)在安裝過程(cheng)中都不可(ke)避免(mian)地要(yao)進行同軸(zhou)度(du)的(de)(de)調整，使對輪(lun)既同心又平行，否則將影響機泵(beng)使用(yong)效率或造(zao)成設備運行事(shi)故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將(jiang)不(bu)同機構中的主動軸和(he)從動軸牢固地聯(lian)接起來一同旋轉，并傳遞運(yun)動和(he)扭矩的機械部(bu)件。有時也(ye)用以(yi)聯(lian)接軸與其他零(ling)件（如(ru)齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠(kao)背輪常由兩(liang)半合成，分別用鍵或(huo)緊配合等聯接(jie)，緊固在兩(liang)軸端，再(zai)通(tong)過(guo)某種方式(shi)將兩(liang)半聯接(jie)起來。

靠背輪聯軸器可兼有(you)補償(chang)兩軸之間由于制(zhi)造安裝不精確(que)、工(gong)作(zuo)時(shi)的(de)變(bian)形或(huo)熱膨(peng)脹(zhang)等原因所(suo)發生的(de)偏(pian)移(yi)（包括(kuo)軸向偏(pian)移(yi)、徑向偏(pian)移(yi)、角偏(pian)移(yi)或(huo)綜合偏(pian)移(yi)）；以及緩和沖擊、吸(xi)振。
