萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效(xiao)率優(you)異，在現(xian)代(dai)工業領域被(bei)廣泛采用(yong)。

SWP十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯軸器(qi)采用(yong)剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯軸器(qi)使用(yong)的場合相近(jin)，主(zhu)要運用(yong)在重載大(da)型裝(zhuang)備領域，回轉直徑可達(da)1200mm。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯(lian)接的機(ji)(ji)泵(beng)在安裝過程中都不可避免地要(yao)進行同(tong)軸度(du)的調整，使對輪(lun)既同(tong)心又平行，否則將影響機(ji)(ji)泵(beng)使用效率或造成設備(bei)運行事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同機構中的主動(dong)軸和從(cong)動(dong)軸牢固地(di)聯接(jie)起來一同旋轉，并傳遞運動(dong)和扭矩的機械部(bu)件。有時也用以聯接(jie)軸與其他零件（如齒輪(lun)、帶輪(lun)等）。

靠背輪常由兩半合成，分別用鍵或緊配合等(deng)聯接(jie)，緊固在兩軸端，再通過某種方式將(jiang)兩半聯接(jie)起來(lai)。

靠背輪聯軸(zhou)器可兼有補償兩軸(zhou)之間(jian)由于制造安裝(zhuang)不精確(que)、工作時的變(bian)形或熱膨脹(zhang)等原因所發生的偏移(yi)（包括軸(zhou)向偏移(yi)、徑向偏移(yi)、角偏移(yi)或綜合偏移(yi)）；以及緩和沖(chong)擊、吸振。
