萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動(dong)效率優(you)異，在現代工業領域被廣(guang)泛采用(yong)。

SWP十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器采用剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器使用的場(chang)合相近(jin)，主要運用在(zai)重載大型(xing)裝備領域，回轉直徑可(ke)達(da)1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lian)(lian)軸器(qi)采用(yong)整(zheng)體(ti)式叉頭布(bu)局，主要用(yong)于軋鋼機(ji)械，起重運輸機(ji)械等其他(ta)重型(xing)裝備領域，回轉直徑可到1600mm，扭矩(ju)傳(chuan)遞距離(li)可達30m以上，是(shi)運用(yong)相當廣泛的萬向聯(lian)(lian)軸器(qi)。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯(lian)接的(de)機(ji)泵(beng)在(zai)安裝過(guo)程中都(dou)不(bu)可避(bi)免地要進行同軸(zhou)度的(de)調整(zheng)，使(shi)(shi)對輪既同心又平(ping)行，否則(ze)將影響機(ji)泵(beng)使(shi)(shi)用(yong)效率或造成設備運(yun)行事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不(bu)同機構中(zhong)的(de)主動軸(zhou)和(he)(he)從動軸(zhou)牢(lao)固地聯接起來一同旋轉，并傳(chuan)遞(di)運動和(he)(he)扭矩的(de)機械(xie)部件。有時也用(yong)以(yi)聯接軸(zhou)與(yu)其他零件（如齒輪(lun)、帶輪(lun)等(deng)）。

靠(kao)背(bei)輪(lun)常(chang)由兩半合成，分別用鍵或緊(jin)配合等聯接，緊(jin)固(gu)在兩軸端，再通(tong)過某種方(fang)式將兩半聯接起(qi)來。

靠背輪(lun)聯軸器可兼有補償兩軸之(zhi)間(jian)由于制造安裝不精(jing)確、工(gong)作時的(de)變(bian)形或熱膨(peng)脹等原因(yin)所發生的(de)偏移(yi)（包括軸向偏移(yi)、徑向偏移(yi)、角偏移(yi)或綜(zong)合偏移(yi)）；以及緩和(he)沖擊、吸(xi)振。
