靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)(yong)來將(jiang)不同(tong)機(ji)構(gou)中的(de)主動軸(zhou)(zhou)和從動軸(zhou)(zhou)牢固(gu)地聯(lian)接(jie)起來一同(tong)旋轉，并傳(chuan)遞運(yun)動和扭矩的(de)機(ji)械部件。有(you)時(shi)也用(yong)(yong)以聯(lian)接(jie)軸(zhou)(zhou)與其他(ta)零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由(you)兩半(ban)合(he)成，分(fen)別用(yong)鍵或緊(jin)配(pei)合(he)等聯接(jie)，緊(jin)固在兩軸端，再通過某種方式將(jiang)兩半(ban)聯接(jie)起(qi)來。

靠(kao)背輪聯(lian)軸(zhou)(zhou)器可兼有補(bu)償兩軸(zhou)(zhou)之間由(you)于(yu)制造(zao)安裝不精確(que)、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原因所發生的偏(pian)移（包括軸(zhou)(zhou)向偏(pian)移、徑(jing)向偏(pian)移、角偏(pian)移或綜合偏(pian)移）；以及緩和沖擊(ji)、吸振。

靠背輪為俗稱，專業叫法為聯軸器以(yi)及(ji)法蘭，用于機械(xie)設備的連接。
