萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力(li)高，傳動效率(lv)優異，在現代(dai)工業領域被廣泛采(cai)用(yong)。

SWP十(shi)字(zi)萬向聯軸(zhou)器(qi)采用(yong)剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十(shi)字(zi)萬向聯軸(zhou)器(qi)使(shi)用(yong)的場合相(xiang)近，主(zhu)要運用(yong)在(zai)重(zhong)載大型裝(zhuang)備領(ling)域(yu)，回轉直徑(jing)可達1200mm。

SWC十字(zi)萬(wan)向聯(lian)軸器采用整體式叉頭(tou)布局，主要用于軋鋼機械(xie)，起重(zhong)運輸機械(xie)等其他重(zhong)型裝備(bei)領(ling)域，回轉(zhuan)直(zhi)徑可到(dao)1600mm，扭矩傳(chuan)遞距離可達30m以上，是運用相當廣(guang)泛(fan)的萬(wan)向聯(lian)軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的機(ji)泵在(zai)安裝過程中都不可避免地要(yao)進行(xing)同軸度(du)的調整(zheng)，使對輪既(ji)同心又平行(xing)，否則將影響(xiang)機(ji)泵使用(yong)效率或造成設備運行(xing)事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不同機(ji)構中的主動(dong)軸和從(cong)動(dong)軸牢固(gu)地聯(lian)接(jie)起來一(yi)同旋轉，并傳遞運動(dong)和扭矩的機(ji)械部件。有時(shi)也用(yong)以(yi)聯(lian)接(jie)軸與其他零件（如(ru)齒輪、帶輪等(deng)）。

靠背輪常由兩半合成，分別(bie)用鍵或緊(jin)配合等聯接，緊(jin)固在兩軸端(duan)，再(zai)通過某種方式(shi)將兩半聯接起(qi)來。

靠(kao)背(bei)輪聯軸(zhou)器可兼(jian)有補償兩軸(zhou)之間由于(yu)制造安(an)裝不精確(que)、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原因所發生的偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)（包括軸(zhou)向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、徑向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、角(jiao)偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)或綜合(he)偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)）；以及(ji)緩和(he)沖擊、吸振(zhen)。
