SWC十字萬(wan)(wan)向聯軸(zhou)器采(cai)用(yong)整(zheng)體式(shi)叉(cha)頭布局，主要(yao)用(yong)于軋鋼(gang)機(ji)械(xie)，起重(zhong)運輸機(ji)械(xie)等(deng)其他重(zhong)型裝備領域，回轉直徑可到1600mm，扭矩傳遞(di)距離(li)可達(da)30m以上(shang)，是運用(yong)相當(dang)廣泛的萬(wan)(wan)向聯軸(zhou)器。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同機構中的(de)(de)主(zhu)動(dong)(dong)軸和(he)從動(dong)(dong)軸牢固地(di)聯接起來一同旋轉，并傳遞運動(dong)(dong)和(he)扭矩的(de)(de)機械部(bu)件。有時也用以聯接軸與其(qi)他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠(kao)背(bei)輪(lun)常(chang)由(you)兩(liang)半(ban)合成，分(fen)別(bie)用鍵或緊配(pei)合等(deng)聯接，緊固在兩(liang)軸端，再通過(guo)某(mou)種方式將兩(liang)半(ban)聯接起來。

靠背(bei)輪聯軸(zhou)器可兼有補償兩軸(zhou)之間由于制造安裝不精(jing)確、工作時的(de)變形(xing)或熱膨脹等原因所發生的(de)偏(pian)移(yi)（包括(kuo)軸(zhou)向偏(pian)移(yi)、徑向偏(pian)移(yi)、角偏(pian)移(yi)或綜合偏(pian)移(yi)）；以及緩和沖擊(ji)、吸振。
