萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳(chuan)動效率優異(yi)，在(zai)現代工業領域被(bei)廣(guang)泛采用。

SWP十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器(qi)采用剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器(qi)使用的場合(he)相近，主要(yao)運用在重載大型裝備領域，回轉直徑可達1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lian)軸器(qi)采(cai)用(yong)整(zheng)體式叉頭布局，主要(yao)用(yong)于(yu)軋鋼機械(xie)，起重運輸機械(xie)等其他重型裝備領域(yu)，回轉直徑(jing)可(ke)到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離可(ke)達(da)30m以(yi)上(shang)，是運用(yong)相(xiang)當廣泛的萬向聯(lian)軸器(qi)。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的機泵在安裝過程(cheng)中都不可(ke)避(bi)免地要進行同軸度的調整，使(shi)對(dui)輪既同心又平(ping)行，否則將影響機泵使(shi)用效率或造成設備運行事(shi)故(gu)。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不(bu)同(tong)機(ji)構中的主動軸和從動軸牢固(gu)地(di)聯接(jie)起來一同(tong)旋轉，并傳(chuan)遞運動和扭矩的機(ji)械部件(jian)。有時也用以(yi)聯接(jie)軸與(yu)其(qi)他零(ling)件(jian)（如齒(chi)輪(lun)、帶輪(lun)等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)半合成，分別用鍵或(huo)緊配合等(deng)聯(lian)接，緊固在兩(liang)軸端，再通過某種方式將兩(liang)半聯(lian)接起來。

靠背輪聯軸器可兼(jian)有補償兩軸之間由于制造(zao)安裝不精確、工作時的變形或(huo)熱膨脹等原因所發生的偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)（包括軸向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、徑向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、角偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)或(huo)綜合(he)偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)）；以及緩和沖(chong)擊、吸振。
