彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結構緊湊，傳(chuan)遞扭矩大，使用(yong)壽命長，免維護，耐高(gao)溫(wen)，耐酸堿(jian)防(fang)腐蝕(shi)，適用(yong)于(yu)高(gao)溫(wen)高(gao)速及有腐蝕(shi)工(gong)況環境的軸(zhou)系傳(chuan)動(dong)。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不同機構中的(de)主動軸和從(cong)動軸牢固地聯(lian)接(jie)起來一同旋轉，并傳遞運動和扭矩(ju)的(de)機械部(bu)件。有時也(ye)用(yong)以(yi)聯(lian)接(jie)軸與其他零件（如齒(chi)輪、帶(dai)輪等）。

靠背輪常(chang)由兩(liang)半合(he)成(cheng)，分別用鍵或緊配合(he)等聯(lian)接，緊固在兩(liang)軸(zhou)端，再通過某種方(fang)式將兩(liang)半聯(lian)接起來。

靠背(bei)輪聯軸器可兼有補(bu)償兩軸之(zhi)間由(you)于制造(zao)安裝不精確、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原因所(suo)發生的偏(pian)移(yi)（包(bao)括軸向偏(pian)移(yi)、徑向偏(pian)移(yi)、角偏(pian)移(yi)或綜合偏(pian)移(yi)）；以及(ji)緩和沖擊、吸(xi)振。

靠(kao)背輪為俗稱，專業叫法(fa)為聯軸器(qi)以(yi)及法(fa)蘭，用于機械設備的連(lian)接。
