SWP十字(zi)萬向(xiang)聯軸(zhou)器(qi)采用(yong)剖分(fen)式(shi)叉(cha)頭布局(ju)，與SWC十字(zi)萬向(xiang)聯軸(zhou)器(qi)使用(yong)的場合相近，主要運用(yong)在重載大型(xing)裝(zhuang)備領(ling)域，回轉直徑可(ke)達(da)1200mm。

SWC十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器采用(yong)整體式叉頭布局，主要用(yong)于軋鋼機械，起(qi)重運輸機械等(deng)其(qi)他(ta)重型裝(zhuang)備領域(yu)，回轉(zhuan)直徑可(ke)到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離(li)可(ke)達30m以上，是(shi)運用(yong)相當(dang)廣泛的萬向(xiang)聯軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的(de)機泵(beng)在安(an)裝(zhuang)過程中都不可避免地要進(jin)行(xing)同軸度的(de)調整，使對輪既(ji)同心又平行(xing)，否則將影響機泵(beng)使用效率(lv)或造成(cheng)設備運行(xing)事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同機構中的主動(dong)軸(zhou)和(he)從動(dong)軸(zhou)牢固(gu)地聯接(jie)(jie)起來一同旋轉，并(bing)傳遞運動(dong)和(he)扭矩的機械部件(jian)。有時也用以聯接(jie)(jie)軸(zhou)與其他零件(jian)（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背(bei)輪常(chang)由兩半(ban)合成，分(fen)別(bie)用鍵或緊(jin)配合等(deng)聯接，緊(jin)固在兩軸端，再通過某(mou)種(zhong)方(fang)式將兩半(ban)聯接起來。

靠背(bei)輪聯軸器可兼有補償兩(liang)軸之間由于制造安裝不精確、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原(yuan)因(yin)所發生的偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)（包括(kuo)軸向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、徑向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、角偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)或綜合偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)）；以及緩和(he)沖(chong)擊、吸振。
