萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優異，在(zai)現代(dai)工(gong)業領域被廣泛采用。

SWP十字(zi)萬(wan)向聯軸(zhou)器采用剖分(fen)式叉頭布局，與SWC十字(zi)萬(wan)向聯軸(zhou)器使(shi)用的場合相(xiang)近，主要運用在重載大型裝(zhuang)備(bei)領域，回轉直徑可(ke)達1200mm。

SWC十字萬(wan)向聯(lian)(lian)軸器(qi)采用整體式叉頭(tou)布(bu)局，主(zhu)要用于(yu)軋鋼(gang)機(ji)械(xie)，起重運輸機(ji)械(xie)等(deng)其他(ta)重型(xing)裝備領域，回轉直徑可到(dao)1600mm，扭矩傳遞(di)距離可達30m以(yi)上，是運用相當廣泛的萬(wan)向聯(lian)(lian)軸器(qi)。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的(de)(de)機泵在安裝過程中都不(bu)可(ke)避免地要進行同(tong)(tong)軸度的(de)(de)調(diao)整，使對輪既(ji)同(tong)(tong)心又(you)平行，否則將影響機泵使用(yong)效率(lv)或造成設備運行事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不(bu)同(tong)機(ji)構中的(de)主動(dong)(dong)軸和從動(dong)(dong)軸牢(lao)固(gu)地聯(lian)接起(qi)來一(yi)同(tong)旋(xuan)轉，并傳遞運動(dong)(dong)和扭(niu)矩(ju)的(de)機(ji)械(xie)部件。有時也用以聯(lian)接軸與其他零件（如齒輪、帶(dai)輪等）。

靠(kao)背(bei)輪常由兩半(ban)合成，分(fen)別用(yong)鍵或緊配合等聯(lian)接，緊固在兩軸端，再通(tong)過某(mou)種方式將(jiang)兩半(ban)聯(lian)接起來。

靠背(bei)輪聯(lian)軸器可兼有補償兩軸之(zhi)間由于制造安裝不精確、工(gong)作時的(de)變形(xing)或(huo)熱膨脹等(deng)原因所(suo)發(fa)生的(de)偏移（包括軸向偏移、徑向偏移、角偏移或(huo)綜合偏移）；以及緩(huan)和沖擊、吸(xi)振。
