彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結構緊湊，傳遞扭矩大，使(shi)用壽命長，免維護(hu)，耐(nai)高溫(wen)，耐(nai)酸(suan)堿防腐蝕(shi)，適(shi)用于高溫(wen)高速及有腐蝕(shi)工況環境的(de)軸系傳動。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不(bu)同機(ji)構中的主動(dong)軸(zhou)和從動(dong)軸(zhou)牢固地聯(lian)接起(qi)來一同旋轉，并傳遞運(yun)動(dong)和扭矩的機(ji)械部件(jian)。有時也用(yong)以聯(lian)接軸(zhou)與其他零(ling)件(jian)（如齒(chi)輪(lun)(lun)、帶輪(lun)(lun)等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)半合成，分別(bie)用鍵或緊配合等聯接，緊固在兩(liang)軸端(duan)，再通過某種(zhong)方式將兩(liang)半聯接起來(lai)。

靠背輪聯(lian)軸器(qi)可兼有補償兩軸之間由于制造安裝不精(jing)確、工作時的(de)變形或熱膨(peng)脹等原因所(suo)發生的(de)偏(pian)(pian)(pian)移(yi)（包(bao)括(kuo)軸向偏(pian)(pian)(pian)移(yi)、徑向偏(pian)(pian)(pian)移(yi)、角偏(pian)(pian)(pian)移(yi)或綜合偏(pian)(pian)(pian)移(yi)）；以及(ji)緩(huan)和沖擊、吸振(zhen)。

靠背輪為(wei)俗稱，專業叫法為(wei)聯(lian)軸器(qi)以及法蘭，用于機械設(she)備的連(lian)接。
