萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優異，在(zai)現代工(gong)業(ye)領域被廣泛采用。

SWP十字萬(wan)(wan)向聯(lian)軸器采用剖分式叉(cha)頭布局，與SWC十字萬(wan)(wan)向聯(lian)軸器使用的場(chang)合相近，主要(yao)運用在重載大型(xing)裝備領域，回(hui)轉直(zhi)徑可(ke)達1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lian)軸(zhou)器采用整體式叉頭布(bu)局，主要用于軋(ya)鋼機械(xie)，起(qi)重(zhong)運(yun)輸(shu)機械(xie)等其他(ta)重(zhong)型裝備(bei)領域，回(hui)轉直(zhi)徑可到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離可達30m以(yi)上，是(shi)運(yun)用相當廣(guang)泛的萬向聯(lian)軸(zhou)器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的機泵在安裝(zhuang)過程中都不可避免地要進(jin)行同軸度的調整，使(shi)對(dui)輪(lun)既同心(xin)又平行，否則將影響機泵使(shi)用效率或(huo)造(zao)成設備運行事(shi)故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同(tong)機構中的主動軸和從動軸牢固地(di)聯(lian)接起來一同(tong)旋轉，并傳(chuan)遞運動和扭矩的機械部件。有時也用以聯(lian)接軸與其他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)半合成，分別(bie)用鍵或緊配合等聯接，緊固在兩(liang)軸端，再通過(guo)某種方式將兩(liang)半聯接起(qi)來。

靠背輪聯軸(zhou)器可兼(jian)有補(bu)償(chang)兩軸(zhou)之間由于(yu)制造安(an)裝不精(jing)確(que)、工作時的變形或(huo)熱膨脹等原因(yin)所(suo)發生的偏移(yi)（包括軸(zhou)向偏移(yi)、徑向偏移(yi)、角偏移(yi)或(huo)綜合偏移(yi)）；以及(ji)緩(huan)和(he)沖擊、吸振。
