萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優異，在現代工業領域(yu)被廣(guang)泛采用。

SWP十字萬向聯軸(zhou)器采用剖分式叉頭布(bu)局，與SWC十字萬向聯軸(zhou)器使用的(de)場合相近，主要運(yun)用在重載大(da)型裝(zhuang)備領域，回轉直徑(jing)可達1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lian)軸器采用整體式叉頭布(bu)局(ju)，主(zhu)要用于軋鋼(gang)機械(xie)，起(qi)重運輸機械(xie)等其他重型裝備領域，回轉直徑可到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離(li)可達30m以上，是運用相當(dang)廣泛的萬向聯(lian)軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的機(ji)泵(beng)在安裝過(guo)程中都不可避免地要進行同(tong)軸度的調整，使對輪(lun)既同(tong)心又平行，否則(ze)將(jiang)影響機(ji)泵(beng)使用效率或造成設備運行事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將(jiang)不(bu)同(tong)機構中的主動(dong)(dong)軸(zhou)(zhou)和(he)從動(dong)(dong)軸(zhou)(zhou)牢(lao)固(gu)地聯(lian)接起(qi)來一同(tong)旋轉，并傳遞運動(dong)(dong)和(he)扭矩的機械部件(jian)。有時也用以聯(lian)接軸(zhou)(zhou)與其他零(ling)件(jian)（如(ru)齒輪(lun)、帶輪(lun)等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)(liang)(liang)半合(he)成(cheng)，分(fen)別用鍵或緊(jin)配合(he)等(deng)聯接，緊(jin)固在兩(liang)(liang)(liang)軸(zhou)端，再(zai)通過(guo)某(mou)種方式將兩(liang)(liang)(liang)半聯接起(qi)來。

靠背(bei)輪聯軸(zhou)器可兼有補償兩軸(zhou)之間由于制造安裝不精(jing)確(que)、工(gong)作時的變形或(huo)(huo)熱膨脹等原(yuan)因所(suo)發生的偏(pian)移（包括軸(zhou)向(xiang)偏(pian)移、徑向(xiang)偏(pian)移、角偏(pian)移或(huo)(huo)綜合(he)偏(pian)移）；以(yi)及緩和沖(chong)擊、吸振。
