彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結構緊湊，傳遞扭矩(ju)大，使用(yong)壽命長，免維護(hu)，耐(nai)高溫，耐(nai)酸堿防腐蝕(shi)，適用(yong)于高溫高速(su)及有腐蝕(shi)工況環境的軸系(xi)傳動。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不同(tong)機構中的(de)(de)主(zhu)動(dong)軸(zhou)和(he)(he)從動(dong)軸(zhou)牢固地(di)聯(lian)接起來一同(tong)旋轉(zhuan)，并傳遞運(yun)動(dong)和(he)(he)扭矩的(de)(de)機械部件(jian)。有時也用(yong)以(yi)聯(lian)接軸(zhou)與(yu)其他零(ling)件(jian)（如齒(chi)輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)半合成，分別用鍵或緊配(pei)合等聯接，緊固在兩(liang)軸端，再(zai)通過某種(zhong)方式將兩(liang)半聯接起來。

靠背輪聯(lian)軸(zhou)器可兼有補償兩(liang)軸(zhou)之間由于(yu)制造安裝不精確、工作時的(de)(de)變形或(huo)熱(re)膨(peng)脹(zhang)等(deng)原(yuan)因所發(fa)生的(de)(de)偏移(yi)（包括軸(zhou)向偏移(yi)、徑向偏移(yi)、角偏移(yi)或(huo)綜合偏移(yi)）；以及緩(huan)和沖擊、吸(xi)振。

靠背輪為俗稱，專業叫法為聯軸器(qi)以及(ji)法蘭(lan)，用(yong)于機(ji)械(xie)設(she)備的連(lian)接。
