萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優異，在現代(dai)工(gong)業領域被廣泛采(cai)用。

SWP十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器(qi)采用(yong)剖(pou)分(fen)式叉頭布(bu)局，與SWC十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器(qi)使用(yong)的場合(he)相近，主要運用(yong)在重(zhong)載大(da)型裝備領域(yu)，回轉直徑可達1200mm。

SWC十字萬(wan)向聯軸(zhou)器采用整體式叉頭(tou)布局，主要用于軋鋼機械(xie)，起重(zhong)運(yun)輸機械(xie)等(deng)其他重(zhong)型裝備(bei)領(ling)域，回轉直(zhi)徑可(ke)到1600mm，扭(niu)矩(ju)傳(chuan)遞距(ju)離可(ke)達30m以上(shang)，是運(yun)用相當廣(guang)泛的萬(wan)向聯軸(zhou)器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯(lian)接的機泵(beng)在安(an)裝過(guo)程中都不(bu)可避免(mian)地(di)要進行同(tong)軸度(du)的調整(zheng)，使對輪(lun)既同(tong)心(xin)又平行，否(fou)則(ze)將影響機泵(beng)使用效率或造成設(she)備運行事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來(lai)將不同機構(gou)中的主動軸(zhou)和(he)從動軸(zhou)牢固地(di)聯接起來(lai)一同旋轉(zhuan)，并傳遞運動和(he)扭(niu)矩的機械部(bu)件。有時也用(yong)以聯接軸(zhou)與其他零件（如齒(chi)輪、帶輪等(deng)）。

靠背(bei)輪常由兩半(ban)合成，分別(bie)用鍵或緊配合等聯接，緊固(gu)在(zai)兩軸端，再通過(guo)某種方式將(jiang)兩半(ban)聯接起來。

靠背輪聯(lian)軸器(qi)可兼(jian)有補償兩軸之間由于(yu)制造安裝不(bu)精確(que)、工(gong)作時的變形或熱膨脹等(deng)原因所(suo)發(fa)生的偏移（包(bao)括軸向(xiang)偏移、徑向(xiang)偏移、角偏移或綜合偏移）；以及緩和沖擊、吸振(zhen)。
