彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結構緊湊，傳遞扭(niu)矩(ju)大(da)，使(shi)用壽(shou)命長，免維護(hu)，耐高(gao)溫(wen)(wen)，耐酸堿(jian)防(fang)腐(fu)(fu)蝕，適用于(yu)高(gao)溫(wen)(wen)高(gao)速及(ji)有腐(fu)(fu)蝕工況環境的軸系傳動。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不同(tong)機(ji)(ji)構中(zhong)的主(zhu)動軸(zhou)(zhou)和從動軸(zhou)(zhou)牢固地(di)聯接(jie)起來一同(tong)旋轉，并傳遞運動和扭矩的機(ji)(ji)械部件(jian)。有時也用(yong)以聯接(jie)軸(zhou)(zhou)與(yu)其(qi)他零件(jian)（如(ru)齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)半(ban)合成，分別(bie)用(yong)鍵或緊(jin)配(pei)合等(deng)聯接，緊(jin)固在兩(liang)軸端，再通過某種方式將兩(liang)半(ban)聯接起來。

靠背(bei)輪聯(lian)軸(zhou)器可兼有補(bu)償兩(liang)軸(zhou)之間由于制造安裝不精確、工作時的(de)變形或熱膨脹等(deng)原因所(suo)發(fa)生的(de)偏移(yi)（包括軸(zhou)向(xiang)偏移(yi)、徑向(xiang)偏移(yi)、角偏移(yi)或綜合偏移(yi)）；以及(ji)緩(huan)和沖擊、吸振。

靠背輪(lun)為俗稱，專業叫法為聯(lian)軸器以及法蘭(lan)，用(yong)于機(ji)械(xie)設備的連接。
