彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結構緊湊，傳遞(di)扭矩大，使用壽命長，免(mian)維(wei)護，耐高溫(wen)，耐酸堿防腐蝕，適用于高溫(wen)高速及有腐蝕工況(kuang)環境的(de)軸系(xi)傳動。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同機(ji)構中的主動軸(zhou)和從動軸(zhou)牢固(gu)地聯接起來一同旋轉(zhuan)，并傳遞運動和扭矩的機(ji)械部件(jian)。有時也用以聯接軸(zhou)與其他零件(jian)（如齒輪(lun)、帶輪(lun)等）。

靠背(bei)輪常由兩半(ban)合成，分別用鍵(jian)或(huo)緊配合等聯接，緊固在兩軸端，再通過某種方式將兩半(ban)聯接起來。

靠背輪聯軸(zhou)器(qi)可(ke)兼有補(bu)償兩(liang)軸(zhou)之間由(you)于制造安裝不精確、工作時的變形或(huo)熱(re)膨脹(zhang)等原因(yin)所發生的偏移（包括軸(zhou)向(xiang)偏移、徑向(xiang)偏移、角(jiao)偏移或(huo)綜合偏移）；以(yi)及緩和沖擊、吸振。

靠背輪為俗(su)稱，專業叫法為聯軸器以及法蘭，用于機械設備的連接。
