彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結(jie)構緊湊，傳遞(di)扭矩大，使用壽命(ming)長，免(mian)維護，耐(nai)(nai)高(gao)溫，耐(nai)(nai)酸(suan)堿防(fang)腐蝕，適用于高(gao)溫高(gao)速(su)及有(you)腐蝕工(gong)況環境的軸(zhou)系傳動(dong)。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來(lai)將不同機(ji)構中的主動(dong)軸和(he)從(cong)動(dong)軸牢固地聯(lian)接起來(lai)一同旋轉，并傳(chuan)遞(di)運動(dong)和(he)扭矩(ju)的機(ji)械(xie)部件。有時也用(yong)以聯(lian)接軸與其他零件（如(ru)齒(chi)輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩(liang)半(ban)(ban)合成，分別用鍵或(huo)緊配(pei)合等(deng)聯(lian)接(jie)，緊固在兩(liang)軸端(duan)，再(zai)通過某種方式將兩(liang)半(ban)(ban)聯(lian)接(jie)起來(lai)。

靠背輪聯軸(zhou)器(qi)可兼有補(bu)償兩(liang)軸(zhou)之間由于制造安裝不精(jing)確、工作(zuo)時的變形或(huo)熱膨脹(zhang)等原因所(suo)發生的偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)（包括軸(zhou)向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、徑向偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)、角偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)或(huo)綜(zong)合偏(pian)(pian)移(yi)(yi)）；以及緩(huan)和沖擊、吸(xi)振。

靠背輪為(wei)俗(su)稱，專業叫法(fa)為(wei)聯軸(zhou)器以及(ji)法(fa)蘭，用(yong)于機械設備的連接。
