萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優異，在現(xian)代工業領域被(bei)廣(guang)泛采(cai)用。

SWP十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器采用(yong)剖(pou)分式叉頭布(bu)局，與(yu)SWC十字萬向(xiang)聯軸器使(shi)用(yong)的場合相近(jin)，主要運用(yong)在(zai)重載大型裝備領域，回轉直徑(jing)可達(da)1200mm。

SWC十字萬(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器采用(yong)整體式叉頭(tou)布局(ju)，主要用(yong)于軋(ya)鋼機(ji)械，起重運輸機(ji)械等其他重型裝(zhuang)備領域，回(hui)轉直徑(jing)可(ke)到1600mm，扭矩傳(chuan)遞距離可(ke)達30m以上，是運用(yong)相當廣泛的萬(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的機(ji)(ji)泵在安(an)裝(zhuang)過程中都(dou)不可(ke)避免(mian)地要進行(xing)同軸度的調整，使對輪既(ji)同心又(you)平行(xing)，否則將(jiang)影響機(ji)(ji)泵使用(yong)效率或(huo)造(zao)成(cheng)設(she)備運行(xing)事(shi)故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不(bu)同(tong)機構(gou)中的主(zhu)動(dong)軸(zhou)和從(cong)動(dong)軸(zhou)牢固地聯接起來一同(tong)旋轉(zhuan)，并傳遞運動(dong)和扭矩的機械部(bu)件。有時也用以聯接軸(zhou)與其(qi)他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩半(ban)合(he)(he)成，分別(bie)用鍵或緊配合(he)(he)等聯接(jie)，緊固在兩軸(zhou)端(duan)，再通過某種方式將兩半(ban)聯接(jie)起來(lai)。

靠背輪聯軸器可(ke)兼有補償(chang)兩軸之(zhi)間由于制造安裝(zhuang)不精確、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原因所發(fa)生的偏(pian)移(yi)（包括(kuo)軸向(xiang)偏(pian)移(yi)、徑向(xiang)偏(pian)移(yi)、角偏(pian)移(yi)或綜合偏(pian)移(yi)）；以及緩和沖擊、吸振。
