萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高(gao)，傳動效率優異，在現代工(gong)業領(ling)域被廣泛采用。

SWP十字萬(wan)(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器采用(yong)剖分式(shi)叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬(wan)(wan)向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器使(shi)用(yong)的場合相近，主要(yao)運(yun)用(yong)在重載大型裝備領域，回轉(zhuan)直徑可達1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lian)軸(zhou)器(qi)采用整(zheng)體(ti)式(shi)叉頭布局，主(zhu)要用于軋鋼(gang)機械(xie)，起重(zhong)運輸機械(xie)等其他(ta)重(zhong)型裝備領域，回轉直(zhi)徑(jing)可到1600mm，扭矩傳(chuan)遞(di)距(ju)離(li)可達(da)30m以(yi)上(shang)，是運用相當廣泛的萬向聯(lian)軸(zhou)器(qi)。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接(jie)的(de)(de)機泵在(zai)安裝過程中都不可避免地要進行同(tong)軸度的(de)(de)調整(zheng)，使對輪既同(tong)心(xin)又平行，否(fou)則將影響機泵使用效率或造(zao)成設備運(yun)行事(shi)故。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來(lai)(lai)將(jiang)不同機構中的主動軸和從動軸牢固(gu)地聯接起來(lai)(lai)一同旋轉，并傳(chuan)遞運動和扭矩(ju)的機械部件。有時(shi)也用(yong)以聯接軸與其(qi)他零(ling)件（如齒輪、帶(dai)輪等）。

靠背輪(lun)常由(you)兩(liang)半合(he)成(cheng)，分別用鍵或緊配合(he)等(deng)聯(lian)接(jie)，緊固在兩(liang)軸端，再通過(guo)某種方式將兩(liang)半聯(lian)接(jie)起來。

靠背輪聯軸(zhou)器可兼有補償(chang)兩軸(zhou)之間由于制(zhi)造安裝不精確、工作時(shi)的變形或(huo)熱膨脹(zhang)等原因所發生的偏移(yi)（包括(kuo)軸(zhou)向偏移(yi)、徑(jing)向偏移(yi)、角偏移(yi)或(huo)綜(zong)合偏移(yi)）；以及緩和沖擊、吸振。
