SWP十字萬向聯軸(zhou)器采用剖分式叉頭布局，與(yu)SWC十字萬向聯軸(zhou)器使用的場合相近，主要運(yun)用在重(zhong)載大型裝備領(ling)域，回轉(zhuan)直徑可達1200mm。

SWC十字萬向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器采用整(zheng)體式叉頭(tou)布局，主(zhu)要用于軋鋼機(ji)械，起重運輸機(ji)械等其他重型裝備領域，回轉直(zhi)徑可到1600mm，扭(niu)矩(ju)傳遞距離(li)可達30m以上，是運用相當廣(guang)泛的萬向(xiang)聯(lian)軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的(de)機(ji)泵(beng)在安裝過程中都不可避免地(di)要進行(xing)(xing)同軸度(du)的(de)調整，使(shi)對輪既同心又平(ping)行(xing)(xing)，否則將影響機(ji)泵(beng)使(shi)用效率或造(zao)成(cheng)設(she)備運行(xing)(xing)事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來將不同(tong)機構(gou)中的主(zhu)動軸和(he)從動軸牢固地聯(lian)接(jie)起來一同(tong)旋轉，并傳遞(di)運動和(he)扭矩的機械部件。有時也用(yong)以聯(lian)接(jie)軸與其他零件（如齒(chi)輪、帶輪等(deng)）。

靠背輪常由兩半合成，分別用鍵或緊(jin)配合等聯(lian)接(jie)，緊(jin)固在兩軸端，再(zai)通(tong)過某種方(fang)式將兩半聯(lian)接(jie)起來。

靠背輪聯(lian)軸(zhou)器(qi)可兼有補(bu)償兩軸(zhou)之間(jian)由于制造安裝不精(jing)確、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原因所發生(sheng)的偏(pian)(pian)移（包括軸(zhou)向偏(pian)(pian)移、徑(jing)向偏(pian)(pian)移、角偏(pian)(pian)移或綜(zong)合偏(pian)(pian)移）；以及緩和沖擊、吸振(zhen)。
