彈性膜片聯軸器在傳遞扭矩的同時通過彈性膜片的的變形來補償軸向和角向的位移，是一種高性能的金屬彈性撓性聯軸器。彈性聯軸器結(jie)構緊湊，傳遞扭矩大，使(shi)用(yong)壽命長，免(mian)維護，耐高溫(wen)，耐酸堿(jian)防腐(fu)蝕，適用(yong)于高溫(wen)高速及有腐(fu)蝕工況(kuang)環境的軸系傳動。

靠背輪聯軸器用來(lai)將不同機構中的主動(dong)軸和從動(dong)軸牢固地(di)聯接起來(lai)一同旋轉，并傳遞運動(dong)和扭矩的機械部件。有時也用以聯接軸與其他零件（如齒(chi)輪、帶輪等）。

靠(kao)背輪常由(you)兩(liang)半合成，分(fen)別用(yong)鍵或緊配(pei)合等聯(lian)接(jie)，緊固(gu)在兩(liang)軸(zhou)端(duan)，再通過某種方式將兩(liang)半聯(lian)接(jie)起來。

靠背輪聯軸器(qi)可兼有補償兩(liang)軸之間(jian)由(you)于制(zhi)造安裝不精確、工作時的變形或(huo)熱膨(peng)脹等原因所(suo)發生(sheng)的偏移(yi)(yi)（包(bao)括軸向(xiang)偏移(yi)(yi)、徑向(xiang)偏移(yi)(yi)、角偏移(yi)(yi)或(huo)綜(zong)合偏移(yi)(yi)）；以及緩和沖擊(ji)、吸振。

靠背輪為俗稱，專業叫法(fa)為聯軸器以及法(fa)蘭，用于機械設(she)備的連接。
