靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同(tong)機構中的主動軸和從動軸牢固地聯接(jie)起來一同(tong)旋轉，并(bing)傳遞運動和扭矩的機械部件。有(you)時也用以(yi)聯接(jie)軸與其(qi)他零件（如齒輪(lun)(lun)、帶輪(lun)(lun)等）。

靠(kao)背輪常(chang)由兩半合成(cheng)，分別用鍵(jian)或緊(jin)配合等(deng)聯接，緊(jin)固在(zai)兩軸端，再(zai)通過某種方式將兩半聯接起來。
