扭矩聯軸器是聯接主動機與工作機的一種部件，主要功能為過載保護，力矩聯軸器是當(dang)超(chao)(chao)載(zai)或機(ji)械故障而導(dao)致所(suo)需扭矩超(chao)(chao)過設定(ding)值時，它以打滑形式限制傳動(dong)系統所(suo)傳動(dong)的扭力(li)，打滑的同(tong)時也能一個信號輸(shu)出停掉電機(ji)和減速機(ji)，當(dang)過載(zai)情形消(xiao)失后自行恢復聯結。

扭矩安全聯軸器螺帽或螺栓調整彈簧力，預設其滑動扭矩。按工作原理可分為摩擦式扭矩限制器和鋼球式扭矩限制器(滾珠式扭矩限制器)，安全離合器應用(yong)范圍:電(dian)子裝(zhuang)備行(xing)業(ye)、自動化(hua)生產線(xian)、輸(shu)送機行(xing)業(ye)等。
