SWP十字萬向聯軸(zhou)器采用剖分式叉(cha)頭布局，與SWC十字萬向聯軸(zhou)器使(shi)用的場合相近，主要運用在重載(zai)大型裝備(bei)領域(yu)，回轉直徑可達(da)1200mm。

SWC十字(zi)萬向聯軸器采用整體式叉頭布(bu)局(ju)，主(zhu)要(yao)用于軋(ya)鋼機(ji)械(xie)，起(qi)重運輸機(ji)械(xie)等其他重型裝備領域(yu)，回轉直徑可(ke)到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離可(ke)達30m以(yi)上，是(shi)運用相當廣泛的萬向聯軸器。

萬向節聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的(de)機泵(beng)在安(an)裝(zhuang)過程中都不可避免地要進行同軸度的(de)調整，使(shi)對(dui)輪(lun)既同心又平(ping)行，否(fou)則將影響機泵(beng)使(shi)用效率或造成設備運行事(shi)故(gu)。

靠背輪聯軸器用(yong)來(lai)將不同(tong)機(ji)構中(zhong)的主動(dong)軸(zhou)和從動(dong)軸(zhou)牢固地聯(lian)接起(qi)來(lai)一同(tong)旋轉(zhuan)，并傳遞運動(dong)和扭矩的機(ji)械部件。有(you)時也用(yong)以聯(lian)接軸(zhou)與其他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常(chang)由(you)兩半(ban)合成，分別用鍵(jian)或緊(jin)(jin)配合等聯(lian)接，緊(jin)(jin)固在兩軸端，再通(tong)過某(mou)種方式將兩半(ban)聯(lian)接起來。

靠背輪聯(lian)軸器可(ke)兼有補償(chang)兩軸之(zhi)間由于制造安裝不精確、工作時的(de)(de)變形或(huo)熱膨脹(zhang)等原因所發生的(de)(de)偏移（包括(kuo)軸向偏移、徑向偏移、角偏移或(huo)綜(zong)合偏移）；以及緩和沖(chong)擊(ji)、吸(xi)振。
